Nursing Student Overcomes Family Grief to Help Others

Kathy Wales, a local nursing student in Manassas, is just days away from graduating after overcoming two devastating family tragedies. After losing her two sons, one to a rare disease and the other to suicide, Wales decided to go back to school to be a nurse and help families like hers. With each patient she treats, Wales is overcoming pain to find purpose. News4’s Aimee Cho shares this story.
