Fairfax Co. Commonwealth's Attorney's Office to Stop Prosecuting Animal Abuse Misdemeanors

The Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office will no longer pursue animal cruelty misdemeanors, citing low funding as the cause. Offenders will still be held accountable through other means, such as a judge or an animal protection officer.
