Motorcyclist Killed When Car Makes U-Turn

A man was killed after a motorcycle hit a car attempting to make a U-turn on a Montgomery County, Maryland, road Saturday night.

Police said the motorcyclist, 35, was traveling southbound on Frederick Road in Gaithersburg, Maryland, shortly before 8 p.m. when his vehicle hit an Acura making a U-turn from northbound Frederick Road to southbound Frederick Road.

The man was taken to Suburban Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died Sunday morning.

The driver and two passengers inside the Acura were not injured.

Investigators are still examining the circumstances of the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
