Violent Explosion at Amish Barn Fire in Maryland

A violent explosion sent an enormous ball of fire into the sky in Charles County, Maryland, Tuesday.

The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department was battling a fire at an Amish barn in Hughesville when a diesel tank exploded as a firefighter was trying to keep it cool. No one was injured in the blast.

A ladder truck extinguished a large portion of the fire, and a fire engine got the remaining hot spots.
