A man was fatally stabbed and now a Fairfax County home is considered a crime scene, police said early Sunday. News4’s Derrick Ward reports.

A man in his 20s stabbed and killed a 61-year-old man inside a home in Vienna, Virginia, Sunday morning, police say.

Officers found Mohammed Hemmatian suffering from trauma to his upper body at a home on the 2900 block of Edgelea Road about 8:30 a.m.

Medics took Hemmatian to a hospital, where he died, police said.

Police arrested 27-year-old Abdulloi Toshpulodzoda at the home and charged him with murder.

Toshpulodzoda suffered a medical emergency at a nearby hospital while undergoing a routine evaluation, police said. He is now stable.

The victim and Toshpulodzoda both lived at the home where the stabbing happened, police said.

A medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of Hemmatian's death.
