Police are looking for the killer of a 33-year-old man who was shot to death on North Capitol Street at Florida Avenue while walking home from the theater.
D.C. police are investigating the shooting death of a man in northwest Washington.
Officials said 33-year-old William Mitchell was found just before 11 p.m. Wednesday at North Capitol Street and Florida Avenue.
Authorities said he was shot while on his way home from the Shakespeare Theatre. After getting off Metrorail at the New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet U station, he was confronted by someone and after an animated exchange, Mitchell was shot, NBC Washington's Pat Collins reported.
The shooter fled the scene on a bike.
Police have no suspects in the death.
