A man with a brick who allegedly assaulted a father as he walked with his two young children on Capitol Hill Sunday has been arrested, police said.
D.C. police said that the attack happened on the 600 block of E Street SE around 10:06 a.m., when the suspect approached the victims from behind and assaulted them.
The attacker threw a brick at the back of the father's head, which caused a severe laceration, police said. After the father asked the suspect not to hurt his children, the assailant "removed a brick from his blue back pack and threw it" at the baby girl in the stroller, a police report said.
Both victims were taken to a hospital for undisclosed injuries, police said. They are expected to be alright. Their exact ages were not revealed.

Jerome Razor, 44, was arrested and charged after allegedly fleeing the scene, authorities said.
More details were not immediately provided.
“I’m writing [a] community impact statement recommending jail time,” ANC Commissioner Denise Rucker Krepp said.
