It's Here: First Frost Advisory of the Season is Saturday Morning

We’re in for a cold and wet weekend, but skies should look clear and the temperature will be in the 60s as we head into the week.

Be prepared for a frosty Saturday morning.

The Washington metro area is currently feeling the coldest air in months.

Friday morning was cold, beginning in the low to mid 40s. But Saturday morning could get even colder.

Counties like Fairfax and Fauquier in Virginia will be under a frost advisory, while the Maryland panhandle and certain northern Virginia counties are under a more severe freeze warning. Both last from Friday evening until 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

What does this mean for you? Bring your plants inside or cover them to avoid the frost, bundle up and maybe grab an extra cup of coffee to keep you warm.
