Inaugural Rehearsal Open to Public

Two rehearsals planned

Just a reminder that if you can't make it to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration or just don't want to fight the crowds on Jan. 20, there's another way to check out all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the swearing-in ceremony.

There will be two rehearsals for the inauguration this Sunday (Jan. 11) at the Capitol, and they will be open to the public, according to  The first starts at about 5:30 a.m. and could including a few starts and stops to get timing down.  The second rehearsal will run nonstop and should be done by about 9 a.m.

Sure, Obama won't be there, but you can find some entertainment in who is picked for his stand-in, and you can still listen to the military bands practice "Hail to the Chief."
