3-Mile Backup on I-95 Southbound in Laurel After Shutdown Due to Medevac

The southbound lanes of Interstate 95 were briefly shut down in Laurel, Maryland, Friday morning due to a medevac landing on the roadway.

A three-mile backup was reported about 9:45 a.m.

About 15 minutes earlier, the lanes were closed near MD-198.

It wasn't immediately clear why a medevac was called to the area.
