Government Worker Fired for Posting Client Info

He was authorized to use the information, but not in the way he used it.

The Maryland Department of Human Resources said it fired an employee who posted personal information of almost 3,000 department clients on a business website he created.

Not just names. The information included things like Social Security numbers.

He allegedly posted the information in April. Department officials learned about it earlier this month and had the information taken down.
