Man Tries to Rob Girl, 9, Walking Dog in DC

A 9-year-old girl is afraid to go outside her home in northeast Washington after a man attacked her Thursday afternoon as she walked her dog. Police say the man hit her on the back several times after failing to find money. News4’s Derrick Ward talked to the child’s mother about how the attack is changing how the family lives.
