Furloughed Feds Can Get Free Gas at a DC Church on Wednesday

Furloughed government workers can fill up with 10 gallons of gas for free on Wednesday because of donations from the gas-delivery startup Filld. The gas will be available while supplies last from 1 to 4 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church at 1500 Ninth St. NW, east of Logan Circle. “It’s embarrassing that things like gas are now hard and you have to budget, and you don’t know if it’s food or it’s gas this week,” Filld cofounder Scott Hempy told News4’s Nicole Jacobs.
