The National Cathedral is making a fund-raising push a year after the East Coast Quake caused damage. News4’s Angie Goff reports.
A 5.8-magnitude earthquake rocked D.C.one year ago Thursday, and there are still signs of damage at local landmarks, including the National Cathedral.
Pinnacles on the scaffolding of the cathedral's towers are being repaired. A number of flying buttresses and a gargoyle also were damaged.
The cathedral has launched a fund-raising campaign called "Restore the Glory!" It hopes to raise $100,000 to continue restoration and help fund programming.
The campaign runs through midnight Thursday. Go to the National Cathedral's fund-raising page to contribute.
