WBAL-TV in Baltimore reports that crews were drilling a section called Area B, which is contaminated with chemicals.

The drilling was part of a groundwater contamination investigation.

Officials say odors aren’t out of the ordinary, and initial tests showed no risk to the area.

However, they said they will perform additional tests to make sure everything’s OK.

Crews will also additional protective equipment, including respirators, as a precaution.
