National Veterans Day Tribute Concert

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. Celebrate our country’s servicemembers with the concert at the National Cathedral.
Veterans Day Film Festival
Nov. 10 to Nov. 12, The Warner Bros. Theater at the National Museum of American History and the Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater in the National Air and Space Museum
A range of films honoring the experience of American military members will screen at two Smithsonian Theatres. Each screening costs $10 for adults. Film selections include "A Solemn Promise, America's Missing in Action," "The Deer Hunter" and family-friendly "Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero."

Step back to George Washington's era for holiday shopping. There will also be colonial-era museic, demonstrations and chocolate making! You'll need a ticket to enter Mount Vernon to go to the fair.

Looking to make the perfect foodie Instagram post? Mark your calendars for Nov. 9-11 and check out the Emporiyum for snap-worthy finds. The event will have nearly 100 vendors from across the country serving samples and food-related products. The event will take place at Dock5 in Union Market. Access to the event is available through timed tickets ranging in price from $15 to $50.
Catharsis on the Mall
From Friday at noon to Sunday at noon, the National Mall between the Washington Monument and the World War II Memorial
Catharsis on the Mall is D.C.'s smaller-scale version of Burning Man, complete with art installations, workshops, dancing, poetry and more under the theme Waking Up From the American Dream. While there won't be a statue of a 45-foot woman towering over the festivities this year, there will still be plenty to see. Try out a yoga class or dance to a D.J. past midnight on Friday. On Saturday at 8:30 p.m., revelers can witness the ceremonial temple burning. No food and water are for sale, so bring enough to keep you going. It's free to attend. Scarf down $5 poutine plates that range from classic fries, gravy and cheese curds to São Paulo’s Sweet Chimi-Churrasco, with carne asada and chimichurri, or Mumbai’s Baked & Buttered topped with butter chicken. Drinks cost $4 and entrance to the pop-up, which features seating areas themed after cities including London and Dubai. AlienCon 2018 starts Friday at the Baltimore Convention Center. Organizers say the three-day gathering will feature original programming, various exhibits, merchandise vendors and fan competitions.

DC Fray is sponsoring a run that requires no training, no motivation and no running.
