An apartment fire was reported just after 1 p.m. Saturday in Southeast D.C.
According to officials, crews responded to the 3200 block of 23rd Street SE. There, they saw flames shooting from a second story apartment.
Two individuals were rescued and another is being evaluated for injuries.
D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray showed up the fire.
