3.1-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Virginia

Another aftershock rattled Virginia on Sunday night

Virginia continues to experience aftershocks from last summer's earthquake.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a 3.1-magnitude aftershock occurred at 11:21 p.m. Sunday night, just eight miles south of Louisa and eight miles south-southwest of Mineral.

Mineral was the epicenter of the 5.8-magnitude earthquake that struck on Aug. 21, 2011.

No damage has been reported.

Dozens of aftershocks have occurred since the earthquake. Seismologists say aftershocks can continue for months.
