Deaths, Turnover Increase in Wake of Va. Mental Health Law

A landmark law passed in 2014 to improve Virginia’s mental health system has contributed to an increasing number of patient deaths and falls — as well as staff resignations — inside the Commonwealth’s state mental health hospitals, Virginia officials have found.
