The St. Patrick's Parade scheduled for March 15 has been postponed, the St. Patrick's Parade Committee of Washington announced on Tuesday.
The decision "was made in the effort to ensure the safety and health of the thousands of attendees from the Washington area that attend the parade every year," the committee said in a statement.
The committee said it will announce future events once details are finalized.
