D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray Prepares to Leave Office

DC Mayor Vincent Gray signed two bills into law Monday and joked about what he plans on doing with his office mementos.

D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray signed two bills Monday as his time in the Wilson Building winds down.

One prohibits doctors from offering conversion therapy to gays and lesbians, and the other introduces a tax incentive for the tech sector.

His last day in office is Jan. 1 and he joked with reporters he plans on taking everything inside his office home with him.

"It's mine, it's a lot of stuff, isn't it?" he joked. "Maybe [I'll store it] in the garage or public storage. I've got to figure out what to do with it all because it's a nice display in here."

Gray said he has no specific plans for what he'll do next, but wants to keep serving the District.

He leaves office under the cloud of a federal investigation which has seen several close aides plead guilty to felony charges in relation to campaign finance violations.
