‘You Are Powerful': DC Girls Inspired by Oprah's Golden Globes Speech

Female students at KIPP DC Northeast Academy said they were moved by Oprah’s speech Sunday at the Golden Globes. “Anybody can achieve anything, and that’s what people fail to realize,” student Chakayla Morris said. “Oprah is one of my role models, next to my mom, so that’s a really high standard,” student Teri Jones said. Their teacher, Nyjah Rollins, said this is what she wanted her students to take away from the speech: “Powerful. You are powerful.” News4’s Kristin Wright reports.
