DC Exhibit Features Artifacts From Wreckage of WWI Naval Ship

The National Museum of the U.S. Navy has opened a new exhibit related to the World War I cruiser USS San Diego. The ship sank in July of 1918 off the coast of Long Island and is the only major U.S. Navy ship lost in the war. Six soldiers died on the ship. The exhibit features artifacts recovered from the wreck site and a 3-D print of the ship as it appears on the ocean floor.
