DC Bakery Owner Giving Free Lunches to Unpaid Zoo Employees

The owner of Baked by Yael, a small business across from the currently shuttered National Zoo, is worried about foot traffic during the government shutdown. But that’s not stopping her from offering free lunches to zoo employees who are working without pay right now, and free coffee to federal workers.
