Reports: Bryce Harper Reaches 13-Year, $330 Million Agreement With Phillies

Former Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper agreed to a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies, according to multiple reports. 

A person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press Harper and the Phillies agreed to a $330 million, 13-year contract, the largest deal in baseball history.

The deal was first reported by the MLB Network.

Harper topped the $325 million, 13-year agreement outfielder Giancarlo Stanton reached before the 2015 season with the Miami Marlins.

Harper gets a $20 million signing bonus, a $10 million salary this year, $26 million in each of the following nine seasons and $22 in each of the last three years. None of the money is deferred.

Harper, 26, spent his first seven seasons in the league with Nationals, making the All-Star team six times.

He won the National League Most Valuable Player Award in 2015 and the NL Rookie of the Year Award in 2012.
