Bethesda Bartender's Appletini Wins DC Cocktail Contest

“The more serious you take it, the more you learn.” Bartender Richard Torres at Silver American Brasserie has designed dozens of cocktails since he started at Silver nine years ago. This year, his appletini won the People’s Choice Award at the DC Craft Cocktail competition. It contains house-made apple syrup and mezcal, and has cinnamon sugar around the rim.
