Authorities Catch Well-Dressed Bank Robber Missing Three Teeth

Authorities made an arrest in two Aug. 2 bank robberies with help from tips they received after surveillance images were released to the public.

In the first robbery, a man missing three teeth who robbed a bank donning a striped suit entered United Bank in the 1600 block of K Street NW just before 10 a.m. and demanded large bills. He made a gesture suggesting he had a gun, then ran away with the cash.

A few hours later, the same man robbed a TD Bank around the corner at 1030 15th Street NW in the similar manner, according to the FBI.

Clyde Lacy Rattler is charged with two counts of bank robbery.
