1,500 Local Students Head Back to School

About 1,500 students in Alexandria and Arlington are heading back to school a little earlier than usual. Mount Vernon Community School and Tucker Elementary School in Alexandria and Barcroft Elementary School in Arlington are on a modified schedule, meaning students get the option of attending about 30 extra days of class throughout the year. Other schools in the area don’t start for another month.
