14 Rescued From Frigid Potomac River After Crew Team's Boat Overturns

A crew team’s sculling boat overturned in the Potomac River on a cold Wednesday afternoon.

A crew team’s sculling boat overturned in the Potomac River on a cold Wednesday afternoon.

D.C. Fire and EMS rescued 10 people and took them to Thompson’s Boat House at 2900 Virginia Ave. NW.

A water taxi rescued four others and took them to the Georgetown Waterfront.

All 14 are being checked for hypothermia.

It’s unclear which crew team was involved.
