Immigrant Children Become US Citizens at Lincoln's Cottage

Twenty-one children became United States citizens in a ceremony May 31 at President Lincoln’s Cottage, in D.C. “Lincoln firmly believed that the United States should be a symbol of hope and place of opportunity for people around the world seeking freedom,” executive director Erin Carlson Mast said.
