Art imitates life, and life imitates art: Slumdog Millionaire co-stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto have carried their romance off screen --they're officially a couple, People reported.
"Life can't really get any better for him," said Patel's mother, Anita, who confirmed the news in the Daily Mirror. "Freida is really beautiful, and I am really happy for them."
The confirmation came after Patel, 19, and Pinto, 24, allegedly had a romantic rendezvous in Israel, where Pinto is filming her latest movie.
After flying to Tel Aviv, Patel spent a few hours with Pinto in a hotel, People reported. The couple then went out for a walk around the harbor, and stopped for a champagne dinner at a seaside restaurant. They reportedly couldn't keep their hands off each other.
"First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place," Anita Patel said.
