Scarlett Johansson has done it all this year — sexy roles in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” and “The Spirit,” getting married to actor Ryan Reynolds, and even releasing her first album, the Tom Waits covers set “Anywhere I Lay My Head.”
Though the album launched to lukewarm reviews, the musically inclined actress told MTV News she’d do it again — and with her own material.
“I would love to do another album,” she said. “I don’t think I’d do covers, so it’d be a project that I have to dedicate myself to.”
And with her busy film schedule, fans shouldn’t expect to hear new Scarlett songs any time soon.

“I feel like that’s something for the future,” she said.
And if she had to another covers collection, it wouldn’t be more Waits, but another respected songwriter.
“Leonard Cohen, maybe,” she said. “If I had to do.”

Before recording “Anywhere I Lay My Head,” she dipped her feet in the music world by sharing the stage with ‘80s underground icons The Jesus and Mary Chain — whose “Just Like Honey” plays prominently in Scarlett’s film “Lost In Translation” — at their reunion performance at the Coachella music festival in 2007.
