Robert Griffin II: Robert Griffin III's ACL”Intact, But Not Enough For His Profession”

In more "RG-Knee" news, Robert Griffin III's father -- Robert Griffin II -- provided an update on his son to USA Today as he prepares to go under the knife Wednesday.

"Robert's ACL is intact, but not enough for his profession,'' Griffin II told USA Today via text message. "You and I could be fine. But he is an athlete. So they will replace.''

Various reports surfacing Wednesday indicate that Griffin will have both his LCL and ACL operated on by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, FL., and that he could be ready by the start of the 2013 regular season in September.

Andrews told our own Dan Hellie that recovery time for this kind of operation is 9-12 months.
