ARLINGTON, Va. -- A News4 meteorologist recently went Green.
Tom Kierein helped the National Science Foundation celebrate Green Day on Wednesday.
Green Day is an effort of local agencies, organizations in the Ballston neighborhood, and others to showcase and discuss the ways in which they can help make a positive environmental impact at work, on the road, and at home.
During the event, more than 25 vendors showcased “learning stations” on alternative fuel, conservation, gardening, and alternative mass transit options, including electric bikes.
The event was held at the NSF Atrium in Arlington from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and was free.
