Morgan Gets A New Residency:
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, best known as Denny Douquette, the love interest of medical resident Izzy Stevens (Katherine Heigl) in “Grey’s Anatomy,” will star opposite Hilary Swank in “The Resident,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The story revolves around a cat & mouse game between a landlord and a resident in a Brooklyn loft. The two previously starred together in “P.S. I Love You.” Morgan will appear next in Warner Bros. “Watchmen,” in theaters March 6.

Channing Tatum Feeling ‘Rose’-y:
“Stop-Loss” star Channing Tatum has his next big screen role lined up. The young up-and-comer is set to star in “The Brotherhood of the Rose,” Variety reported Thursday. The film was previously an NBC mini-series and is about two orphans raised by a CIA operative to become assassins… and, targets themselves. Channing has several films lined up for release in 2009, including “Fighting,” “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” and “Public Enemies.”

Emily’s Dilemma:
Emily Blunt is one busy Brit! According to Variety, she’s in talks to join Twentieth Century Fox’s “Gulliver’s Travels,” along with Jack Black and Jason Segel. What’s in question is how this will affect her potential participation as villainess Black Widow in “Iron Man 2.” It’s possible she could have to drop out of “Iron Man 2,” but nothing has yet been set in stone. ‘He-Man’ Goes Live Action:
The long-gestating “He-Man” live action film has found its director. Producer Joel Silver and Warner Bros. have picked John Stevenson of “Kung Fu Panda” for the project to make his live action directorial debut, Variety reported. A previous live action version from 1987 starring Dolph Lungdren and Frank Langella was widely considered a flop.

Lauren Graham Heads Back To TV:
Laurent Graham, most recently on the small screen in “Gilmore Girls,” has had her latest pilot, “Let It Go,” picked up by ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series stars Graham as a self-help guru who can’t take her own advice. Graham is next appearing on Broadway this spring in the revival of “Guys & Dolls.”

Ellen’s Revenge?:
Finally, is Ellen Barkin taking revenge on her billionaire ex-husband Ron Perelman by creating a new series for HBO? Variety reported that Barkin will indeed executive produce and star in a series that lightly mirrors her own life during the period of her very high-profile marriage and divorce. This would be the “Ocean’s Thirteen” star’s first foray into television!
