Man Meets Stranger Who Saved Him After Heart Attack in Southeast DC

The last thing 75-year-old Joe Cwiklinski remembers is driving on Potomac Avenue SE. Then, he had a heart attack and crashed his car. He found out later that a stranger helped save his life. A friend put up signs to try to find the stranger, and on Thursday, he met Toni Pollard and was able to thank her. “There’s a lot of nice people in this world,” Cwiklinski said.
