Actor T.R. Knight may be negotiating an exit strategy from ABC's hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy," according to Entertainment Weekly.
The young star is just the latest to hit the revolving door through which many cast members have passed on the show. Knight's displeasure with producers of "Grey's Anatomy" reportedly is their foot-dragging during Isaiah-gate, in which co-star Isaiah Washington remained part of the show after allegedly hurling homophobic comments in Knight's direction.
That incident, which led to Knight coming out of the closet as a gay man, prompted swift rebukes against Washington from cast members Patrick Dempsey and Katherine Heigl, but show-runner Shonda Rhimes was slow to boot Washington from the "Grey's" cast.
An online gossip site wrote that Knight had summarily left the show, but Entertainment Weekly reported that negotiations for an amicable exit for Knight's character is in the works.
