According to MTV News, the rapper urged the crowd to “make some noise” for opening act DJ AM, who made his return to the turntables after surviving a tragic plane crash last month. But on the night of the last presidential debate, Jay gave a shout-out of a different sort — to the Republican presidential and vice presidential candidates.
“I’m gonna get in trouble for this,” Jay reportedly said, “but f--- it, this is freedom of speech.”
