Hypocrisy Over D.C. Schools?

Council members are sending their kids to private schools instead of putting them in D.C.’s struggling public school system that they urge other parents to invest in. Is it a bad message for local public officials to send their kids to private schools, or is their kids’ education a private matter that should not be up for public criticism?
