On Friday, Downtown Frederick will host Frosty Friday.
Experience the holiday spirit while you purchase, feast, and unwind in historic Downtown Frederick. The community day events will begin at 8 a.m. so shoppers can enjoy breakfast at participating restaurants. Morning sales will be offered by participating merchants so come early and take advantage.
Activities will include three holiday movies: "A Christmas Story," "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Wizard of Oz," playing at participating theaters at a discounted price.
Enjoy musical performances by bands such as Jon & Carrie, The Mainstream Jazz, The Market Street Brass Quintet, The Martins, Dickens Carolers, and A Rose Between Two Thorns. Also hear solo performances from Stuart Frazier, as he plays his bagpipes and Maria Wilson.
Amongst the busy streets of downtown, there will be an Artist’s Market, Holiday Market for Kids, and a Festival of Greens.
Downtown Frederick is also offering free gift wrapping, hot cocoa, and parking until 6 p.m. in all four Downtown Frederick parking decks.
