Fortune's Bones

In Waterbury, Connecticut, a human skeleton was displayed at the Mattatuck Museum. It was known to visitors as a skeleton named “Larry”. But years later, historians discovered the bones belonged to an enslaved African named “Fortune”. His story has inspired a series of events at the University of Maryland.
