Simpsons on Stamps? Doh!

Whoo hoo!

The Simpsons have been featured on the silver screen, served as the inspiration for a theme park ride and now America's favorite dysfunctional family will have their faces emblazoned on postage stamps.

The Postal Service announced that it will sell five different 44-cent stamps featuring the family that are designed by the sitcom's creator, Matt Groening.

There's no word on whether that the family's dog, Santa's Little Helper, or evil Mr. Burns will make the picture.

But don't have a cow, man!

"The Simpsons are American icon, quite frankly," the spokesman for United States Postal Services told BBC News.

The Simpsons is this first ongoing prime time television show to be given its own stamp series, he said.

"We're excited about it, and we think America will be, too. It's a great opportunity for us to reach a new generation of stamp enthusiasts."
