RICHMOND, Va. — The Washington Redskins will hold their annual Fan Appreciation Day at Training Camp on Saturday. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. with practice beginning at 1:30 p.m. There is just one practice on Saturday.
For those who have attended in the past, note that new in 2017, training camp practices require a free ticket/fan pass for entry. Fans can receive their e-ticket for access to the camp online.
There will be plenty of activities for fans on this day and a good chance to get up close and personal with the players.
The Redskins are anticipating the largest crowd of camp on Saturday, so they encourage everyone planning to attend to arrive early. The festivities will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a performance by the Virginia State University Marching Band.
There will also be performances by the Redskins Marching Band and Redskins Cheerleaders, who will also be signing autographs.
The team will go through a full, two-hour practice on Saturday and at the conclusion of practice, players and coaches will sign autographs for a long period of time. In the past, players have signed for nearly everyone out there that can get close enough.
The Redskins have announced that, in addition to parking lots around the facility, there are two lots that will be open for Fan Appreciation Day. One lot is located at 901 East Hermitage St. (70 spaces) and the other is located at 2300 West Broad St. (300 spaces).
