WASHINGTON — Police say they’re investigating the sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl at an apartment complex in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County.
The girl was assaulted after being taken by a stranger from a common area of the apartment complex around 5 p.m. Aug. 13, Fairfax County police spokeswoman Reem Awad told WTOP. The complex is in the 6700 block of Tower Drive. The girl was released a short time later and the suspect fled, Awad said.
Awad said the suspect is described as a Hispanic male. Authorities are currently working on putting together a composite sketch.
