Metro Service Restored in Downtown DC After Switch Problem

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says service has been restored between the Smithsonian and McPherson Square stations in downtown Washington.

A switch malfunction early Thursday morning had caused that section of track to be shut down, affecting the orange, blue and silver lines.

Metro says there will be residual delays in both directions.
