2 Hurt in Shooting in Baltimore's Federal Hill Neighborhood

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police say two people were injured during a shooting in the city’s Federal Hill neighborhood and that the man responsible is in custody.

Police said in a statement that they were called to E. Cross Street early Sunday for a report of a shooting.

Police say they believe that the man responsible for the shooting was involved in a verbal dispute with a group of individuals. Police say he pulled out a handgun and fired at the group. Police say those individuals were not struck but two other unintended victims were. Police say one man was shot in the foot and another man suffered a graze wound.

Police identified the suspect as 24-year-old Steven Perkins of Annapolis. Police say he’s been charged with attempted murder, among other charges.
