Condom Found by Child at Chuck E. Cheese's

Item had not been used

BEL AIR, Md. -- The Harford County Health Department said a condom found at a Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant in Bel Air did not pose a safety threat.

Department spokesman Bill Wiseman said the agency received a call from parents Monday and inspectors went to the restaurant to investigate. Wiseman said it appears the condom had not been used.

Roni Tilton said her husband spotted their 4-year-old son playing with the condom Sunday as the child crawled through a maze of plastic tubes.

A manager at the restaurant declined comment. Company spokeswoman Brenda Holloway said employees followed the appropriate guidelines for dealing with such incidents.
