5/14: A Bash to Support Dupont Underground

Plus, Flavor Tripping at EFN and a Slice and a Pint at Radius

ARTS UNDERGROUND: Bang & Olufsen (7243 Woodmont Ave., Bethesda) hosts a Night to Support Dupont Underground. The goal? To transform the abandoned trolley station underneath Dupont Circle into a new cultural institution focusing on art, design and architecture. The night includes refreshments and raffles. RSVP to dupontundergroundbangolufsen@gmail.com. 6:30-9 p.m.; donation requested.

INCREDIBLE, EDIBLE: EFN Lounge (1318 9th St. N.W.) hosts its recurring Flavor Tripping Party, where you can nosh on a West African berry called synsepalum dulcificum -- and after you eat it, it'll rewire your tastebuds for a short time, turning sour foods sweet and sweet foods... well, really sweet. Sample lemon wedges, hot sauce and Guinness that'll end up tasting like candy, doughnut glaze and chocholate milkshakes, respectively. Um... yum? 7-9 p.m.; $12.

DECENT DEAL: Grab a slice and a pint for a mere $5 at Radius Pizza (3155 Mount Pleasant St. N.W.). Beers on draft include Hook & Ladder's Backdraft Brown (Silver Spring) and Starr Hill Jomo Lager (Charlotteville, Va.). 5-7 p.m.; no cover.
