Maryland businessman fights for check fraud refund

Check fraud has increasing by more than 100% in the past 5 years, and by the time fraudulent checks are detected, the thieves are often long gone. In most cases, banks will put the money back into their customer’s account, but that’s not always the case. Consumer Investigative Reporter Susan Hogan and the News4 I-Team heard from a local business owner who says he’s out thousands after his bank took his refund back.
