Viewpoint: Greater Washington Urban League

Empowering communities and changing lives is the mission of the Greater Washington Urban League. It’s a non-profit organization that uses social work, advocacy and law to boost economic and political empowerment in our communities. The League manages 30 education, employment & training and housing & community development programs in our area. This week the Urban League celebrates the 44th Annual Whitney M. Young Memorial Gala here in Washington, D.C.
